The closest "food source" to the Bungalow, walk towards the ocean and then turn right and go up East Cliff Dr. near 30th Ave.  Large gringo burritos, etc.

Cole's BBQ (476-4424)

Just up the street from the Bungalow at 2590 Portola Drive, near 29th Ave.  A real man's barbeque--nothing fancy, just the basics.

Casa Rosita's (462-6116)

Tucked behind Cole's BBQ on 2608 Portola Dr, (their service can be a bit casual,) but their chicken tacos are juicy and their rice and beans are for real.  Filling and delicious traditional Mexican.

Portola House Restaurant (476-2733)

An easy walk from the Bungalow (about 3 blocks), near 33rd Ave, at 3326 Portola.  It has great surf and turf, plus pasta and chicken. A little pricie but relaxed and comfortable.

Paula's (464-0741)

A dyed-in-the-wool, greasy spoon Surfer hangout - fun & funky atmosphere at 3500 Portola near 34th Ave.

Dynasty Restaurant (479-3388)

At least one enthusiastic guest has raved about Dynasty at 3601 Portola Dr---luxurious Mandarin/Szechuan cuisine, and they deliver free ($15 or more). Don't miss the dim sum lunch!

Coffeetopia (477-1940)

An honest little coffeehouse at 3701 Portola and 38th, just a ten-minute walk from Buck's Beach Bungalow. Get your caffine fix here.

Round Table Pizza (479-3466)

Hey...They deliver. 3715 Portola Dr. across from 37th Ave.

The Cliff Cafe (476-1214)

A decent breakfast-and-lunch place, right on the corner of Portola and 41st Ave at 815 41st, a nice ten-minute stroll from the Bungalow.

Pleasure Pizza (475-4999)

"Local Pizza Parlor Makes Good." Pizzas, full or by the slice, that is. Plus sports on TV at 4000 Portola Dr & 41st Ave.

The Pink Godzilla (464-2586)

This idiosyncratic little place just a stone's throw (5 block walk) from the Bungalow at 830 41st Ave, near Portola Dr. serves up sushi for sushi addicts. Look for the very literal sign and often long line.
